Family Owned and Operated
The staff of Finegan Funeral Homes is our family and your friends and neighbors. Finegan is a family business that has been owned and operated by the Finegan family since 1931. Our staff now includes one other licensed funeral director and a number of non-licensed support personnel.
For many in Phillipsburg, Alpha, Easton and the outlying area, we have become a tradition in their families. We will continue to produce the same level of service on which we base our reputation.
We know that you have a choice of funeral homes and we want you to feel confident that we will meet all of your needs. Our families are always our number one concern. We are proud of our well-appointed facilities and provide ample parking at all three locations.
Our History
In 1931 John T. Finegan opened Finegan Funeral Home on South Main Street Phillipsburg. In the late 1940's the funeral home was moved to its present location on Heckman Street. In 1958 James T. Finegan senior joined his father. In 1962 Finegan's built the Alpha, NJ location. Brothers John & Jeff joined their father in 1983 and continue to run the business today. Our Easton funeral home opened in 1908 by the Curran Family and was purchased by the Finegan's in 1983 and they continue to run it today.
